CARDASSIAN UNIFORMS ON DISPLAY

News from the web:

If you are not aware yet of the StarFleet Federation Museum in Canada, Toronto....(OPENING SEPTEMBER 3rd)....you should be! It is said on sight that they have a Cardassian uniform on display, along with Cardassian masks and make-up. And the gift shop is sure to have Cardassian artifacts, given that they have tons of other goodies to buy if you are an avid Star Trek fan (and we won't say that we aren't.......ha!)

The Federation/Bajoran Lie about War With Cardassia

By: Tulgyrn Macet (formerly Gul Macet)

I stated in my last article that the so-called "war with the Bajorans" is a great miscarriage of truth on the part of a self serving United Federation of Planets, and the Bajoran government, which deludes itself in a wallowing pitty-party at the expense of every Cardassian.
I will preface this article by saying that I and manyof my fellow officers, all loyal, and upstanding members of Cardassian society, fathers, husbands, and sons of which any Cardassian family could be proud, were placed in chains and dragged before so-called war crimes tribunals to answer allegations that they had committed all manner of attrocities, against the poor Bajorans. Little thought is given to the actual train of events which led up to the Bajoran Pacification Campaigns.
Less is said of the many thousands of Cardassian lives which were snuffed out through acts by terrorists that upon our eventual armistice, regrouped and called themselves a "victorious army of Bajoran liberation". Our original contacts with the Bajorans, were peaceful and beneficial to both sides. We are and were a deeply spiritual people, and the Bajorans, while backward in their primitive culture, shared a strong system of spirituality and beliefs. While their beliefs were of no concern to us, their pitiful culture with its reliance on Djaras, or classes of people made trade a hit or miss proposition. In our effort to aid the Bajorans, some who felt that they were not benefiting from our agreements took up arms, and with the well known Bajoran beligerance began a series of conflicts that led to open conflict with the Cardassian representatives. Those of the Bajorans that worked with and benefited from Cardassian trade, were branded as collaborators, and killed, and then a concerted campaign of lies and dis-information made the loyal soldiers of Cardassia their scapegoats.
When the Cardassian government rounded up terrorists and placed them in labor camps to try to recoup some of the losses to Cardassia, the Bajorans screamed that it was slave labor. After all of the benefits that they had reaped from the Cardassian people, they put the blame for their war of terror on us, and drove our economy to the brink of ruin. Their lies have served to poison the air of debate between our government and the other governments in the region, including the UFP, which despite its touted fairness, still chooses to believe the Bajorans, over the evidence, which has been presented to them. We can all however bear to smile however, for while we have otherwise been ill served by history, Bajoran culture will forever bear the stamp of Cardassia, and their system of class and Dajara, and hit or miss commerce is consigned to the boneyards of the past.
I feel that by stating the historical facts, and clearing the air of lies and misconceptions, that Cardassians may hold their heads higher, and walk a little prouder, knowing that they did nothing for which they should feel shame.

7th Order NOTICE:

The "Ravek was recently commissioned into service by the Order bearing the covert Javik Class design issued by Central Command.

History provided by Legate Vurdel.

History:

The Javik Class Diplomatic Escort Vessel was designed shortly after the Great Patriotic War with the Federation. A weakness was spotted in the way that diplomatic personnel were escorted to and from the many formal meeting held by the Federation, durring the war. While traveling in shuttle craft the diplomats were frequently attacked by the Federation's ally, the Klingons, and by the border world frontier guard who would later become the Maquis. So in line with restructuring the Cardassian military, Central Command, in it's last ship building contract issued, ordered the design and construction of the Javik. The Javik has been successfuly used in many areas since, such as the tranportation of diplomats, ambassadors, and legates to various meetings around the quadrant. It has also been used in covert intelligence operations, and in some cases acts as a permenant command vessel for legates.

Previous News Report:

Breen Officials claim the Cardassian Empire is responsible for the collapse and are issuing a Degree of Penalty to be handed over to the reigning Dutapa Council through the representation of Federation officials. It has not been made known however, whether or not StarFleet will agree to the Degree of Penalty, which would require Cardassia to pay for all damages incured upon Breen after a thorough investigation. Prime Officials will be sent to discuss the situation with Federation and Breen Ambassadors, hoping for some light on this possible step by the Breen to threaten the Cardassian Empire.

Update:

In light of the Degree of Penalty and the actions of a "particular Gul" not to be mentioned, the High Commander of the Seventh Order has been sent to investigate the Breen matter further in person. The Vin'tkar has been commissioned on route to the Breen System and will be on rendezvous with the Gyffer-class trader ship " Claw Hard" to speak with a Captain Osa of the Federation concerning possible negotiations between Breen and Prime for the crimes 'supposedly' placed against their planet.

FROM COMMAND BASE:

OOC: A possible 'treaty' of role-play may be in consideration between Federation officers (RPG) and Cardassian officers. Since it is too early to inform the players on the details, this notice is set to inform and prepare the players for possible confrontation with Federation fans ;) Also the Order is opening its doors to role-play by non-military trekkers who wish to interact with Cardassian officers in the Order, yet will not themselves play Cardassian or Alien officers within the 7th Legion. The possibilities are endless.....civilian players, human players, prisoners from other ships, etc..... If you are interested in playing a non-military character within the Order, please respond to the official address:
