Lakat Training Facility

Lakat Training Facility LogoWelcome to the Lakat Training Facility located just outside of Lakat City on Cardassia Prime. Your admissions form and profile were well received and you are now on your way to begin the initial training for service within the Seventh Order.

The Seventh Order consists of over 6000 officers and soldiers, with nine main warships under direct authority from the Seventh Order Command Base. While at the Training Camp, you will be required to follow orders to the best of your ability and prove yourself to your fellow recruits and the the training staff.

Each cadet upon entrance to the Camp will receive a private cell (quarters) in one of the Shelters (dormitories). There are six divisions of cadets in the Lakat Training Facility:

You will be assigned to a Shelter which will become your home for the next thirteen months (in actuality, two to three weeks).   During this time you, complete physical training exercises, attend military instructional classes and focus your University major with that of your military vocational studies.

OOC (Out of Character) Note on Training Steps:

  1. Request admission to Lakat from Gul Maalik.  You will be informed at that time if there is a waiting list to join a ship.
  2. Read the Player's Rules.   They will be sent to you by Gul Maalik and are available in the Database.
  3. Complete your character development worksheet which will be sent by Gul Maalik or can be obtained from the Database.
  4. Participate in two individual holo-simulations that will let us get a feel for how you write.
  5. Choose from a listing of available duty stations if there is no current waiting list.  You will then be assigned to a ship or station by Gul Maalik.  If there is a waiting list, you may still take part by being posted at Rylok Nor - a space station that allows for interaction of players and new graduates.
  6. Subscribe to the appropriate mailing list.
  7. Begin posting!  Keep in mind that all new recruits must make it a priority to meet with both the Doctor and Political Officer of the location they have been posted to.

Now that you have read the admissions information, you are ready to begin your training.  Transmission of your records have been sent to Gul Maalik, who will speak with you shortly.  Once you enter the Lakat Training Facility you cannot communicate with friends or relatives outside the Camp.  Make note to bring only one tote of belongings, which shall legally belong to the Order once you officially become an officer of the Military.  You are allowed personal belongings in your individual cells, except the following:

Below is a description of the Facility and a layout for your benefit.

The Lakat Facility consists of  eight main buildings.  Six of these buildings house the Shelters of cadets who are undergoing training.  The Shelters are located on either side of the main courtyard.   The North Building houses the Science Wing, Medical Center and Engineering Wing.  The South Building houses the Flight Control Wing, the Tactical/Security Center and the Political Wing.  Also in the South Building is the Staff area which consists of offices for the Lakat Staff and administrative personnel.  The Staff area is a restricted access area.

The buildings surround an open courtyard where all physical training exercises are carried out.  In the central courtyard is a statue symbolizing the Seventh Order.  There are security perimeters marking the main entrance to the Facility and throughout the Camp.  All cells are monitored by Command Base until such due time that a cadet graduates and is placed on permanent assignment within the Order.
