Appearance:
Lenora Jatar is extremely beautiful, in a rather cold way. She has delicately boned features and finely defined ridges. Her hair was blond, but has gone prematurely grey and is now an icy shade of silver which tones in well with her ice-blue eyes. She is quite small and slim, but leanly muscled and in no way 'soft.' She wears traditional Cardassian clothes when off duty, in soft shades of grey, blue, and green.

Background:

Lenora Myrelle Mal Daredd was born to a wealthy, aristocratic family with a grand tradition of service in the Military, politics, and diplomacy. Her father served for a number of years while she was growing up as theCardassian ambassador to Romulus, and then later as the ambassador to Ferenginar. After a glittering diplomatic career, he decided to switch to politics approximately twenty years ago and worked closely with Central Command during the difficult years of the war with the Federation and the occupation of Bajor. He retired aged seventy shortly before the coup in which the DeTapa Council took power.

Lenora's upbringing was highly traditional and her family had definite links to the TRI, which they have been trying to play down with alacrity. She was one of seven children, brought up in the lap of luxury, and was expected to make a glittering marriage. Her father was solicitous of her desire to follow him into politics, and decided that a spell at Lakat would firm up her backbone before entering that cut-throat arena. She made it to
the rank of Galt before catching the eye of Gul Jatar, an ambitious and equally aristocratic commander in the Fifth Order. She bore him two children before he died in fighting with the Federation shortly before the first war ended and Bajor was ceded back to its indigenous population.

Following his death, she resumed her military career, transferring to the Seventh Order as a Glinn. She naturally became a Political Officer, and still harbours dreams of one day taking the political stage.

Places of education:

Whilst her father was on diplomatic assignments, home tuition by the very best money could buy.

Special talents

Not to put too fine a point on it, Lenora is not above using her family connections to get on. She is a good all-round officer, being bright, extremely cunning, and a good weapons fighter although her size means she was never brilliant at hand-to-hand fighting. Machiavellian, she loves the games that the PO directorate play, even though she is now of Command rank, and particularly enjoys sparring with Hydak Torel- although she got a nasty shock when the recent TRI executions were held and she had to pull every trick in the book to ensure she and her family were never under suspicion.

Psychological evaluation:

Ruthless and practical, Lenora lets little ruffle her aristocratic assurance. However, she is not above enjoying herself, and does make friendships eventually, although she generally feels more comfortable with people of her own class. She had not had a relationship with a man since Kesharl died, although she is not averse to the idea should somebody suitable come along- although making a suitable marriage for her daughter Miryana is more of a priority. She has developed an attraction to her First Officer, Jurvot Dujod, although she has not yet acted upon it, in part because of the age difference as she is several years older than him.
