Physical Description: A medium sized man with darkly tanned skin. Moderate ridges trace his brows and chin. His hair is charcoal black and swept back in the typical Cardassian tradition. Jowels trace his cheek bone, ending at the courners of his mouth. The spoon shaped ridge on his fore-head is of normal size, as are his neck chords.
Psychological Description: Kalvek is a man of extreems. He is a complete believer in the traditional values such as: Marriage, career, politics and ruthlesness. He rotates between being a very romantic, pasionate and talkitive man to a cold, hardlining and talkitive man. He is known to have an open mind - however, set ideas are very hard to alter as stubbornness and a dogmatic attitude seem to be the over-riding factor in his life.
The fact that Kalvek rose from no-where to a position of influence and power leads him to generally come across as a shrewd, perceptive man who gives no quarter and expects none in return.
History: Born and raised on Cardassia Prime, Kalvek had the hard
luck of being born to a poor farming family. Finding his only
escape to be the military, he joined at 20. His drive to succeed and
a bit of good fortune enabled Kalvek to get a position as an Officer in
the 7th Order. After 5 years serving on Felor 3, Kalvek was accepted into
the 7ID with the rank of Leyven.
He rose through the ranks at a steady pace, completing succesful missions against all the current enemies of the Order and Council as a whole. During 2366 Kalvek took part in a cross boarder run into Fed space on a standard counter-spy mission. This would be the last and most unsuccesful mission of his career.
He would find out later that he was double crossed by a Ferengi Trader and as a result arrested shortly after arrival.
Severly wounded in an excape atemt only months before the peace treaty, The 7ID saw fit that their returned Jurvot should be retired. However, after months of tedious red-tape and bribery, Kalvek managed to secure a position in the 4th Order fleet.
Over the next few years, Kalvek rebuilt his reputation as a efficient
and co-operative Officer. His promotion to Tulgryn soon followed as more
and more influential Officers were worked towards favouring him. The strongest
ally Kalvek has is Gul Evek. He worked with him on numerous occasions,
often as his XO. The two men grew to respect each others abilities and
managed
to work well as a commanding unit.
A testimoy to their friendship is the fact that Evek made Kalvek the godfather of his third daughter.
Currently Kalvek is enjoying an extended stay on Prime, relaxing on his country estate after his last cruise as XO on the Galor class ship, Damaran. It was after this cruise that HQ sent through his long awaited promotion to Gul.
Part of the shore-leaves function is a buffer for the Military to decide
where they wish to post Kalvek after his recent promotion to Gul. One of
the more popular positions that keeps recurring is the Command of the 7th
Orders Rylok Nor station.
