Psychological Evaluation:  Tends to be withdrawn and quiet.  There is
much anger in this young man.  Still suffers from occasional depression.
Witnessed the deaths of his parents and brother 12 years ago at the
hands of Breen raiders.  Although he can be withdrawn, he seeks the company
of other Cardassians.  He fears abandonment and loneliness, a product of
the three weeks alone with the slain bodies of his family before a supply
transport found him.

Special Talents: Proficient in hand-to-hand and small arms combat.
Also has an uncanny talent for navigation.

Reason for wanting to join the Cardassian Military:  There are several
reasons to join.  The glory of Cardassia and the defeat of her enemies
goes without saying.  Mainly, I want to be around other Cardassians.  I
don't care if they love me or hate me, as long as they are there.  Secondly,
I seek vengeance.  I want to fight the enemies of Cardassia, and if I
ever find the Breen who slaughtered my family, I will kill them with my bare
hands.  Finally, I owe a debt to my father and brother.  My Father
always wanted to join the military.  However, a childhood accident left him
with severe damage to the left side of his face.  He was not allowed to
join.

When my older brother, Burshat, was born, my father did all he could to
train him for the military.  Burshat was a great warrior.  He would
have been among the greatest leaders Cardassia had ever seen.  Then the
Breen killed him when he was 18.  It is my responsibility to take his place
and serve as he would have.

Place of education: I was home schooled at my family's hydro-farming
station in the middle of a large ocean on an inconsequential colony
world near the Breen border until I was 10.  After that, relatives sent me to
a boarding school on Cardassia Prime.

Major at the place(s) of education: Ate, drank, breathed, and slept
hydro-farming until I was 10.  After that, my family sent me to school
for aquaculture, assuming I would do well.  It was first nature to me, so I
dedicated my time to combat training and did my studies in spare
moments.

I graduated with highest honors in aquaculture, and more training than
anyone realized in combat.

Background: I was born on my parents' hydro-farming station 22 years
ago. I don't remember the name of the colony world where it was located, and
I don't care.  It is unimportant to me now (If you need that information,
I'm sure it is a matter of record with the government.  The supply
transport that found me was the Rekath).  As I grew, I learned aquaculture from
my parents.  Also, they would take turns teaching me arithmetic,
literature, science, art, music, etc. after evening meal.  In the afternoon, I
would watch my father teaching my brother how to fight.  I would copy their
movements, wishing that my father would teach me.  Occasionally, he
would catch me watching and learning, and he would tell me that I should be a
scientist--to leave war to my brother.

One would think that this kind of secluded life would become lonely,
but that was not so.  My brother was my savior.  He was more than my
brother. He was a second father, a teacher and a best friend.  I adored him.  It
was he who taught me to read the underwater currents.  I could navigate any
ocean on that planet like a professional by the time I was nine, thanks
to Burshat (Interstellar gravitational pull is similar to underwater currents. It is
here that I get my navigation skill).

Then came the day.  I was diving around the station, cleaning the
sea life from the hull.  Then I noticed bright blue flashes above the surface.
My instruments told me that the water temperature rose nearly seven
degrees.  I went up to look around.  There was a Breen ship hovering over the
station.  It seemed huge, but I know now that it was only a small
atmospheric ship.  They had an airlock open.

There was a Breen sitting  in the doorway with a hand phaser.  He had reset
the frequency to match that of the shields.  He could shoot us, but we could not
shoot them.  We had only a small disrupter rifle.  My father kept firing at them in vain.
He was the first to die.

My brother retrieved a harpoon gun that we used to hunt sharks for food.
The harpoons, of course had no effect on the shields of the ship.  He was hit, but
did not die right away.  The ship hovered closer to the dock.  Five Breen jumped out.

They attempted to go into the house.  My mother met them at the door.
She put up a noble fight for one who knew nothing of combat.  She managed to kill
one of them with a butcher knife before she was shot by another.  In the meantime,
my brother had managed to crawl to our chemical storage shed.  My mother kept several
small houseplants, and so we had a small amount of fertilizer.  Burshat mixed it with
some fuel for one of the boats to make a bomb.  He used his own hair as a fuse,
and lit it with a lens he used to examine the seaweed leaves.  The blast completely
obliterated one Breen and badly wounded another.

The other two bombarded the area with phaser fire.  Burshat's
body was never found.  I was frozen with fear.  All I could do was hide
while the Breen took what they wanted and left.  Three weeks later, I
was found by our supply transport, weak and malnourished.  I was ten years
old.

I was sent to live with my father's sister on Cardassia Prime.  She
was kind to me, but her husband couldn't be bothered with a child that was
not this.  He sent me to a boarding school to learn aquaculture.  I spent my
time practicing hand to hand combat and small arms warfare.  I have
honed my skills for the past 12 years, in hopes of joining the military.  I
wish to leave all thoughts of my family behind and immerse myself in service
to Cardassia.
